PARTS OPERATIONS
The parts departments of Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies are one of the key stones of the whole operation. Spread across the kingdom and serving our customer base from eleven wholly owned locations with more in the pipeline, fourteen specially appointed area main dealers, a number of special outlets and a large number of brokers Genuine Ford parts are an integral part of Saudi Arabia’s motor industry.
Every week we import containers of genuine Ford parts from United States or the U.K. to keep Ford vehicles on the roads in the Kingdom. Shipped out of Dearborn Michigan or Daventry Northampton these containers cross the Atlantic, across the Mediterranean, through the Suez Canal and down the Red sea a journey that takes 21 days they arrive in Jeddah. After passing through customs they are delivered to our Central Parts Depot a unit which houses SR 40 million of parts. Here the shipments are broken down and put on trucks for delivery to our major sites in Riyadh, Medina and Dammam.
Each branch carries a further SR 3 - 5 million and they in turn distribute to our smaller locations, area main dealers and other customers. In total we carry over 65,000 different lines and service models up to 15 years old off the shelf. Ford genuine parts are covered by a warranty which gives peace of mind to the buyer, something that you do not get when you buy cheap parts in the souks.
The company is proud of its record that has enabled us to maintain vehicles on the road longer than one would normally expect them to last and we still have customers who return to our parts departments who bought their vehicle from us when we first opened 15 years ago.
We provide employment in Parts operations for nearly 200 staff representing 11 different nationalities a truly international operation. Some of our staff has been with us since opening day and it is this fact that makes Al Jazirah somewhat unique in that the environment within the company is happy, stable and sufficiently satisfying to keep our people to the day they retire.
Next year there are plans for more outlets and a huge new Central Parts Depot designed to carry us and Ford parts into the future. There will be new models and more lines on the shelf, more staff and better customer support as we harness new technology to give a better parts service.
We won’t always be the cheapest we could not stay in business if we were, we won’t always have the part on the shelf and we won’t always guarantee to get it next day but, we will always try our hardest to give the customer a service level he would want and one that we can be proud in providing.
