Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, December 13, 2005 - Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. (AJVA), the Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in Saudi Arabia, today dedicated its new dealership facility in Jeddah – the latest in a string of new facility launches including Hail and Dammam. The company plans to dedicate an additional facility in Abha shortly. Nearly SR100 million (USD26m) have been invested in the state-of-the-art buildings that feature fully integrated showrooms, service, parts centres and central vehicles compound, for the Ford and Lincoln brands. "Al Jazirah Vehicles' goal is to meet and exceed customer expectations, and we are focused on achieving this objective," said Sh. Abdullah bin Fahad Al Kraidees, AJVA's President. "These new showroom, service and parts facilities, which are designed to make the customer feel at home, clearly demonstrate our efforts to extend our reach to customers, and complement the new developments we launched in recent years." Al Kraidees added: "It gives us great pride to dedicate these facilities as we step closer to our customers across the Kingdom, and we intend to stay top of their mind as we offer them excellent products and services, wherever they are." The Jeddah facility launch was attended by prominent guests and senior Ford executives from Worldwide Direct Market Operations (WDMO) and the Middle East. Ford WDMO's director, John Fitzpatrick, said: "Al Jazirah Vehicles is working closely with us to ensure we have strong representation throughout Saudi Arabia, and they are making a significant investment in the Ford brand throughout the Kingdom." "Their commitment is evidenced by these state of the art facilities and their commitment to continuously improve and provide the highest customer satisfaction levels and ownership experience of a Ford or Lincoln vehicle," Fitzpatrick added. Nabeel Al Hussayen, AJVA's general manager for the Western Province said: "Our expansion in the Western Region is a clear example of our relentless efforts to bring the Ford and Lincoln products and experiences closer to our customers. We have made extensive investments in providing a team of professionals dedicated to provide the highest levels of sales and after-sales support to complement the world-class products we offer. And with new additional launches planned in the next two years, we are confident that our reach will grow to accommodate customers wherever they are in the Western Region." The Jeddah facility houses the world's largest Ford showroom. Manned with a 227-strong employee body, about 40 per cent of whom are Saudi nationals, it is located on Al Madinah road. Measuring 7,685 square metres, it comprises a 3,725 square metre showroom, coupled with a 600 square metre air-conditioned service area with 46 service bays, and a vehicle delivery area. A dedicated, onsite parts warehouse guarantees genuine Ford and Lincoln spare parts around the clock. AJVA runs the region's largest parts depot out of Jeddah. Ford dealers across the region have built state-of-the-art facilities representing a total investment of more than SR375 million ($US100m) in the past two years alone. AJVA now runs 10 Ford-Lincoln facilities in Saudi Arabia and three Quality Care Service Centres. Two more integrated showroom, service and parts centres are expected to open in Jeddah in the next two years. Together they employ 1500 employees, 34 per cent of whom are Saudi nationals. The new Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies dealership in Jeddah is open everyday except Fridays from 8:30am to 1:00pm, and from 4:30pm to 9:30pm.
