Abha, Saudi Arabia, December 19, 2005 - Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. The facility was officially dedicated under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Aseer and HRH Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Governor of Aseer. Nearly SR100 million (USD26m) has been invested in the state-of-the-art buildings that feature fully integrated showrooms, service, parts centers and central vehicles compound, for the Ford and Lincoln brands. "Our new Abha facility stands out with its unique design concept that is based on the local traditional architecture, while showcasing world-class features," said Sheikh Abdullah bin Fahad Al Kraidees, AJVA's President. "Al Jazirah Vehicles' goal is to meet and exceed customer expectations, and we are focused on achieving this objective. Our new facilities clearly demonstrate our efforts to extend our reach to customers, and complement our expansion plans across the Kingdom." Al Kraidees added: "It gives us great pride to dedicate these facilities as we step closer to our customers across the Kingdom, and we intend to stay top of their mind as we offer them excellent products and services, wherever they are." Roch Legault, general sales manager for Saudi Arabia and the Levant markets at Ford Middle East, said: "Al Jazirah Vehicles is working closely with us to ensure we have strong representation throughout Saudi Arabia, and they are making a significant investment in the Ford brand throughout the Kingdom. Their commitment is evidenced by these state of the art facilities and their commitment to continuously improve and provide the highest customer satisfaction levels and ownership experience of a Ford or Lincoln vehicle," Legault added. Sh. Abdullah Al Kraidees added: "Our expansion in the Western Region is a clear example of our relentless efforts to bring the Ford and Lincoln products and experiences closer to our customers. We have made extensive investments in providing a team of professionals dedicated to provide the highest levels of sales and after-sales support to complement the world-class products we offer. And with new additional launches planned in the next two years, we are confident that our reach will grow to accommodate customers wherever they are in the Western Region." The Abha facility is located on Khamis Musheit road and manned by 62 employees. Measuring 18,500 square metres in total, it has a 2,700 square metre showroom area coupled with an air-conditioned service area with 47 service bays, and a vehicle delivery area. A dedicated, onsite parts warehouse guarantees genuine Ford and Lincoln spare parts around the clock. Ford dealers across the region have built state-of-the-art facilities representing a total investment of more than SR375 million ($US100m) in the past two years alone.
AJVA now runs 10 Ford-Lincoln facilities in Saudi Arabia and three Quality Care Service Centres. Two more integrated showroom, service and parts centres are expected to open in Jeddah in the next two years. Together they employ 1500 employees.
