RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, March 25, 2007 – Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co., the Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in Saudi Arabia, recently received two major accolades, adding further to its long list of achievements and recognitions as one of the largest automotive dealerships in the Kingdom.

Sh. Abdullah Al Kraidees, president of Al Jazirah Vehicles Co. received Ford Motor Company's Award of Excellence recently from John Fitzpatrick, Executive Director of Export Operations, for its outstanding performance in 2006, where it became the largest volume selling Ford and Lincoln dealer in the world. The dealership had received the same title for 2003 and 2004.

Al Jazirah Vehicles also is the world's largest Ford Crown Victoria dealer for ten consecutive years; is the largest Ford export spare parts dealer in the world; and the dealer who owns the two largest Ford showrooms and the largest parts warehouse in the world.

“This is an outstanding achievement,” said John Fitzpatrick. “For two decades Al Jazirah Vehicles has worked diligently to grow the Ford customer base in the Kingdom, and its management's enthusiasm to scale new heights for the brand and deliver world-class products and services to its customers is greater than ever. This achievement clearly emphasizes the increasing importance of the Saudi market to Ford Motor Company.”

Additionally, Al Jazirah Vehicles was honored by the U.S. Commerce Department lately, where Mr. I. Hernandez, assistant secretary for Trade and Director-General of the U.S. Commercial Service presented the U.S. Commerce Department’s Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade. The award, presented to organizations that have worked with the U.S. Commercial Service to promote U.S. export growth and commercial trade in their home country, was received by Al Kraidees.

Al Kraidees said: “On behalf of everyone here at Al Jazirah Vehicles, I'd like to say that we are very proud of these two recognitions. I would like to acknowledge the relentless efforts of our management and employees to bring world-class products and facilities, as well as the highest levels of service and satisfaction to our customers throughout the Kingdom.

“But ultimately, we would like to sincerely thank our customers who have come to trust   Al Jazirah and Ford and invested in our products. We owe our success to them,” he added.

Al Jazirah’s impressive sales and service performance reflect a buoyant year for Ford across the entire region; Ford sales in the region grew by 21 per cent last year, mainly driven by its range of SUVs as well as the youth targeted models.

Al Kraidees added: “We invested thoroughly in new facilities and training for our employees, and these are key factors which help us maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Our success in reaching the top of the list among Ford dealers around the world is proof of our customers' trust and confidence in our products and services, and we are proud of that.”

Al Kraidees concluded: “But this type of achievement also brings us a bigger challenge and responsibility to keep the momentum, if not increase it, in order to further enhance our services and maintain our leadership across the Kingdom.”

Al Jazirah Vehicles has 12 full-fledged branches in Saudi Arabia with dealer networks throughout the country. In a span of two decades, the dealership sold over 150,000 vehicles.
